The four-day conference sought to explore political, social, cultural, military, and economic dimensions to the Irish Civil war. It also located the Irish experience within the broader international context following the end of the Great War. The Civil War period produced many endings. But 1922 also saw some remarkable beginnings. Beyond 2022 researchers and partners presented a panel ‘Endings and Beginnings’ at the conference. This panel described the research methodology and findings of the Beyond 2022 research programme. Conference UCC/ National Library of Ireland.
